I was injured badly. My severed arm lay only feet away from my kneeling body. I looked up at the desfigured animal. It lay there, motionless. Only the animal`s deep breaths were visible in this bitter-cold air. I pushed myself up onto my feet, picked up my gun and walked through the snow, over to the dying animal. The through of wanting to see this beast suffer prolonged my definite kill. I just stood there and watched as this animal continued to die. It seemed like the blood would never stop flowing. Soon this creature will realize what is it like to feel nothing at all.Whit my gun still pointed at the animal`s guivering head, I kneleed and whispered into its ear, "How does it feel?"The response pushed me onto my back. The animal could speak! It could speak my tongue. Out of pure shok, I took my gun, put it to the animals head, and shut. I watched as its head fell back against the blood-stained snow. I wa still in shock. I could not get myself to move.I stood there and continued to watch the blood soak into the snow as I tried to make sense of what just happened. Can it really be true? Is this a humai being? Humans were only talked about in tales by our elders. They were myths. How could something that dies ever want to live? It confused me. I went over and picked up my severed arm. i wiped the snow off it and looked it over. The wires were still in place and functional. I should have no problem repairing this.
